[Orders given by Mother Lucy to sisters working in the kitchen and spirit messages on conduct from Mother Lucy and Mother Ann.] 1837-1842.

Given from February to April 1842 and recorded by Dana or Mary Ann Ayres, these spirit messages deal with the rules of conduct for Shaker women and the threat of worldliness. Included are rules for baking and when baked goods might be eaten, rules for when the women might go to their work places, how to handle soap grease, but most of the writings are more general as to women's conduct. Also incudes a short poem.
